About

What Ichinen is

Ichinen is a small desk for reading the I Ching and a four-pillar chart yourself. You cast three coins, lay out a BaZi chart, or look up a Man Mo Temple lot, then stay with the lines that are actually on the page.

It is for someone who would rather write the question down than take a lucky slogan. Cast when the moment is the subject. Open a chart when you want the day master and the ten relationships on the pillars. Use the lot index when you already hold a stick number.

You can also just read. The hexagram pages keep the figure next to a scene. The lot pages open by number. Those are separate doors. Use one, or set them beside the same written question and see which wording sits closer.

Write one question first. Then cast, or chart, and read what the page shows. Ichinen is culture and reflection, not professional advice, and it does not stand in for a clinician, a lawyer, or a financial adviser.
